A Level results 2018

Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley students once again achieved a set of fantastic results at A level and Vocational subjects. We are delighted for all of the students and their families and wish them every success in their futures. We are very proud to see them progressing to Higher education or further training, with a large number of students joining their first choice university, including well over a quarter of the students going on to prestigious Russell Group Universities such as LSE, King’s College and Leeds.

Despite changes to the curriculum and the introduction of Linear A Level across most subjects, our students achieved a 99% pass rate this year with 14% A/A* grades and 70% of grades at C or above.

We were also delighted to see vocational subjects performing very strongly, with 19% of students achieving the top grade of double Distinction Star (D*/D*) and 70% of the students who completed a Vocational Diploma in Business or Health and Social Care, achieving a Distinction/Merit (D/M.)

David Astin, Executive Principal said

These fantastic results are a testimony to the hard work of our staff and our students and just go to show what can be achieved when students and their teachers work well in partnership with families. I am delighted with the results and am particularly proud that 2 students will be progressing on to study Midwifery and 4 will go on to study Nursing which is superb.
