The Professionals Of The Future For The London Of The Future
Students at Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley are taking up degrees in the professions London needs, with students gaining places on degree courses in law, radiography, nursing, social work, art history and midwifery.
Students at Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley are today celebrating their A Level results with many going on to study degrees that will be vital for London’s future. Those celebrating include:
- Diya, who has accepted a place at City University London to read Radiography
- Lily, who will study Social Work at Bournemouth University
- Aminath, who will study Midwifery at King’s College London
- Sadia, who will study Nursing at King’s College London
- Sumera, Natalia and Honorine who have accepted places at Kingston, Royal Holloway and Surrey respectively to read Law
- Kesya, who has accepted a place at UCL to read Italian & Art History
- Natalie, who has gained a place on the Wates Group apprentership scheme, specialising in Marketing.
“I am extremely pleased for all our students who are celebrating today," said Samuel Rigby, Principal of the Academy. "These young women have shown particular resilience and determination in their studies following the disruption and challenges of the pandemic and it is great to see their hard work being rewarded.
“I am particularly delighted that so many of our students are going on to study degrees in professions that are so needed in London and the South East today. We want our students to excel at school so that they can secure careers with job security, that pay well and offer excellent career advancement and development.
“Our girls graduating today will be the professionals of the future in the London of the future. And we can all be very proud of them!”
