GCSE Results Day 2019
Excellent results at Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley
It has been another great year at Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley, with 80% of students gaining at least a Grade 4 in maths and English and 62% gaining a Grade 5 or higher.
35% of students achieved the challenging and coveted Ebacc qualification, which means they successfully passed in English, maths, science a humanities subject and a language. This is significantly higher than the national average, which last year was 24%.
Students achieved a remarkable 63 ‘super’ Grade 9s, equivalent to an A**. These were gained across a variety of subjects, with 17 in English and 10 in maths.
The following star students all achieved top grades:
- Abbey Brown and Jessica Ralph: each of these students achieved 7 Grade 8 to 9 GCSEs (equivalent to A* and A**);
- Eyeresulem Asefa, Najma Farah, Georgia Mensah, Iris O’Grady, Libby Powell, Athalia Smith-Boakye and Amara Uzokwe: each of these students achieved Grade 9s in science;
- Saskia Le Vien and Vanessa Ajimobi: both achieved Grade 9s in English and maths.
